We have all been on a real roller coaster of a journey over the last 13 months, which came to the happiest of conclusions last Thursday night when we were crowned League One champions. This truly was a collective effort by everyone so a huge thanks goes to every single fan for your incredible support throughout this period.
Key to our success was the club’s ability to support the manager’s transfer market ambitions especially early this year, with Steven Bell and Scott Tiffoney providing the most notable, difference-making impact. Season ticket sales always go a long way to shaping the manager’s budget so each and every ticket sold and pound generated really does have an impact.
Among all the benefits of a 2020/21 season ticket, we promised all holders a “Refund option at end of season, of pro rata entry fee less live stream price, for each League One match not able to view from Firhill due to Covid restrictions”.
Upon the end of our 2020/21 Scottish League 1 season, Partick Thistle FC will now make partial refunds available to all 2020/21 season ticket holders in line with the three home league matches not played. We sold tickets on the basis of 14 home leagues games, which were originally scheduled last July, in the end 11 were played due to the mid-season shutdown.
The club fully appreciates that a refund may be much needed in some households at this time and encourages any season ticket holder in this position to contact the club as soon as possible to allow the refund to be processed. Instructions are below and refunds should be applied for no later than 5pm on Monday, 10, May.
Many season ticket holders have already been in touch to state they will not be taking up their refund and this is greatly appreciated – last year the potential cost to the club of all refunds was around the £80,000 mark and this year the situation is similar. Any fans who can afford to consider not taking up the option of the refund will provide another boost to the club as we plan for our 2021/22 Scottish Championship campaign.

The euphoria of last Thursday night was diluted by just one factor – that we were unable to welcome any fans into Firhill. We will release information about the sale of 2021/22 season tickets later this month and our own hope is that – as guided by government, the NHS and the football authorities – we will be in a position to safely welcome Jags fans back to Firhill next season.
