Partick Thistle can today confirm the signing of Charlie Reilly on a one-year deal, subject to SFA clearance, following a successful trial period.
The 18-year-old midfielder arrives in Maryhill having left Hamilton Accies this summer, ending a stay in Lanarkshire which lasted just short of a decade.
Reilly joined Accies as a nine-year old and progressed through the academy ranks, earning himself a spot in the under 20s side at just 16.
Charlie spent time on loan with Airdrieonians last season earning some valuable first team experience playing seven total games for the Diamonds before the campaign’s early conclusion.
Everyone at Firhill offers Charlie a warm welcome to the club.
Thistle manager, Ian McCall, said:
“I’m really pleased to get Charlie on board for the season ahead. He might only 18 years old but he is a really exciting box to box midfielder.
“Charlie is a player who is highly rated and we are looking forward to working with him to help develop and improve him as a footballer over the year ahead. We’ve added a number of exciting young players to our squad over pre-season and he is another one that I can’t wait for our fans to see in action.”
Charlie will wear squad number 18 for the 2020/21 campaign.
