Partick Thistle can today announce the signing of defender Ciaran McKenna, on a two-year deal from Hamilton Accies, subject to SFA clearance.
The 22-year-old arrives to bolster Ian McCall’s defensive options, leaving Accies after a year with the Premiership side. The Glasgow-born centre-half started out as a youth player with Celtic until he left the Hoops to accept a scholarship with Duke University in North Carolina, completing a degree in Political Science.
He then returned to Scotland on a short term deal in January 2019 before signing up with Hamilton Accies last summer.
Everyone at Firhill offers Ciaran a warm welcome to the club.
Jags manager, Ian McCall said: “I’m delighted that Ciaran has chosen to join our club. He very much fits the profile of the type of player I have signed in the last few years. His versatility is an added bonus.”
Ciaran will wear squad number 16 for the 2020/21 campaign.
