Partick Thistle can today confirm the signing of central defender, Darren Brownlie, on a two-and-a-half-year deal from Queen of the South, subject to clearance.
Brownlie started his career with Ayr United, making his debut for the Honest Men as an 18-year-old back in 2012 during a Challenge Cup tie against East Stirlingshire.
After featuring regularly for Ayr in the 2012/13 season he moved to Partick Thistle, playing in the development squad before moving on loan to Cowdenbeath in 2014 where a successful spell would lead to a permanent move to Central Park.
His performances with The Blue Brazil convinced Queen of the South to swoop for him and Darren has enjoyed four and a half seasons at Palmerston Park since that move, racking up over 150 appearances for the Doonhamers.
