Partick Thistle are pleased to confirm the signing of Kevin Holt on a two-year contract, subject to international clearance.
The 28 year old left back becomes Ian McCall’s first summer signing as the Thistle gaffer begins to assemble his squad for next season’s Championship campaign. Kevin made his professional breakthrough at Queen of the South where he won a Second Division and Challenge Cup double in 2012/13 before moving to Dundee in 2015 spending three seasons in the Premiership with the ‘Dee.
As well as a second spell in Dumfries as a Doonhamer, Kevin has spent a couple of seasons in the Cypriot First Division, featuring regularly for Ermis Aradippou during the 2020/21 campaign before arriving in Maryhill for the next two campaigns.
Thistle manager, Ian McCall said:
“I’m delighted to bring Kevin to the club. He is a player who brings extensive Premiership experience to the club but equally knows the Championship inside out as well.
“Kevin is capable of playing in a central defensive position as well as his more natural left back role and that versatility will be vital throughout the season. At the age of 28 he is about to enter the peak of his career and I am really excited to add him to the squad for the next two seasons.”
