Following an approach from the conveners of three official Partick Thistle Supporters Clubs, the City Centre, Jordanhill/John Lambie and North-West branches have received significant financial assistance towards the costs of travelling to Saturday’s cup tie in Dingwall.
A huge thank you is due to PTFC sponsors Cane & Grain (Brian Woods), Forrest Precision Engineering (Scott Forrest) and PZ Tiling & Maintenance (Paolo Zani) who have each made contributions to this one-off fund.
Gordon Peden of the North-West Branch noted that: “In geographical terms, this was the worst possible draw, at the worst possible time of year – amid a cost-of-living crisis and immediately after the Festive Season. Coach hire costs would have translated into individual fares which would have ruled out many people anxious to follow the team to the far North.
“The very generous support we have received has resulted in these individual fares being cut by over 50% and Brian, Scott and Paolo have our very grateful thanks.”
