Tam O’Ware signs contract extension

Partick Thistle can today confirm that centre-back, Tam O’Ware, has penned a contract extension which will keep him at the club until May 2022.

The 26-year-old missed the majority of the 2018/19 campaign with a devastating knee injury but has returned as an important player for the Jags this term, making his return from injury in the season opening win against Airdrieonians, being credited with the only goal of the game.

Tam has made a total of 25 appearances this campaign with the number four also taking on the role of captain over the past couple of months and winning the 71 Club Player of the Month award for December.

He first league goal for the club arrived last month, however it was well worth the wait. The defender poked home the winner from a Reece Cole corner at Cappielow as he came back to bite his former side last month, celebrating passionately in front of the travelling red and yellow army.

Tam spoke to JagZone shortly after putting pen to paper on his contract extension. JagZone subscribers can view it now.
