There are few players that have made a greater contribution to the journey Partick Thistle WFC have been on over the course than the last five years than Amy Bulloch.
It is with real sadness then that we can confirm that Amy has made the difficult decision that the next chapter of her football career will take place away from Petershill Park and Partick Thistle WFC.
Amy first appeared in a Partick Thistle jersey in November 2020 making her debut as a Jag as a trialist in a SWPL2 fixture against Stirling University scoring THAT goal. Amy’s famous goal in that 4-1 victory winning her the SWF Goal of the Season award.
An integral part of the Thistle squad, Amy was appointed the club’s vice-captain as Cheryl McCulloch recovered from injury and she helped lead the side, that secured back-to-back top six finishes, a Sky Sports Cup Final appearance and a Scottish Cup Semi-Final appearance.
It’s been assists rather than goals that Amy became renowned for across her 140 Partick Thistle appearances. Last season alone Amy contributed 8 assists and was awarded the Partick Thistle Women’s Player of the Year Award at the Club’s Awards Dinner in April.
Not only will Amy’s presence be missed on the pitch and in the dressing room, so too will be her supportive family off the pitch.
‘Bulls’ leaves Thistle with the grateful thanks of all associated with the Club and with best wishes for the future.
Once a Jag, Always a Jag.
