We are delighted to announce that the Partick Thistle media team won the Bronze prize at the Football Business Awards this afternoon in the category of Best New Player/Contract Signing Reveal Campaign.
The finalists for the award were made up of three English Premier League clubs, one Scottish Premiership club, one English Championship club and the Jags!
The reveal in question was that of Scott Tiffoney as our media team announced the return of the winger in a creative manner, involving Texan rock band Deep Blue Something and Thistle manager Ian McCall – a somewhat unlikely combination.
The video racked up well over one million views and was covered by news outlets the world over with the gaffer’s words echoing around social media – “Ya beauty!”.
Manchester City won the top prize for their reveal of Jack Grealish’s British record transfer from Aston Villa while the Silver award went to Birmingham City. Thistle’s third-placed finish overall means we came top of the pile among Scottish teams in this category!
Now, as we celebrate this fantastic achievement by the media team we want to recognise the efforts of everyone who has contributed to the club’s output during the last two Covid-affected years.
