Partick Thistle Women’s FC is thrilled to confirm that Amy Bulloch, Cara McBrearty and Teigan McCann have all committed to the club for the 2021/22 campaign.
The three players were mid-season additions to the PTWFC squad last term and all played their part in Thistle’s third place finish in the SWPL 2.
Bulloch was the first of the trio to sign with Thistle after playing as a trialist for the Jags against Stirling University, scoring an incredible volley in that debut which recently won the SWF Goal of the Year award.
The number 18 went on to make a total of 12 appearances for Brian Graham’s side as well as managing a second goal in Thistle colours, another belter against Stirling University.
Cara McBrearty arrived at PTWFC in mid-November last year, making an instant impact by assisting Clare Docherty’s go-ahead goal in our 5-1 win over Aberdeen.
McBrearty finished the season with five goals in 12 games including a remarkable double on the final day of the season wherein she scored directly from a corner twice in the same game. She also recorded four assists for the team.
Finally, Teigan McCann has also signed up for the 2021/22 term following her first season as a Thistle player.
Like McBrearty, McCann joined the team in November making her first appearance as a trialist against Aberdeen and it was a scoring start as she rounded off the goals with an 88th minute strike.
She ended the season with 11 appearances to her name and the ex- Hamilton player will be back with the Jags for the new term.
Manager Brian Graham said: “We’re happy to have all three girls back. They were important members of the squad last season and all chipped in with important goals
In particular we were proud of Amy winning goal of the season, it’s a great individual achievement and well deserved.”
