Partick Thistle WFC is thrilled to announce the signing of Tiree Burchill for the 2024/25 season.
The 19-year-old midfielder joins the Jags after departing Celtic last month having played 24 times and scored six goals for the Hoops in all competitions last season, playing her part in their SWPL title triumph.
She originally joined the Celts at youth level in December 2018 working her way through the ranks until she made her first team debut in June 2021 against Motherwell at the age of 16.
She would go on to score her first senior goal the following year in a 7-0 win over Dundee United at the Excelsior Stadium.
A former Hamilton and Motherwell loanee, Burchill has also received repeated international recognition with Scotland caps to her name at under 15s, 16s, 17s and 19s levels – in fact she’s scored five goals in five appearances for the 19s this calendar year including a hat-trick against Liechtenstein in April.
Tiree said:
“I’m really excited to get started and looking forward to seeing how my development continues.
“At this point in my career I just want to play more games and develop and show what I can do – I think this is the right club for me to do that.”
PTWFC manager Brian Graham said:
“Tiree is a player who we have admired for a long time and it’s extremely exciting that she’s chosen Partick Thistle as the next step in her career.
“She’s got plenty of pace, bundles of technique and a knack for creating and scoring goals all of which will make her a real asset for us this season.
“To be getting minutes and goals in an ultra-competitive, title-winning Celtic team as a 19-year-old tells you a lot about the ability she has and we’re really looking forward to seeing what she can do in red and yellow.”
