Tomorrow’s match programme against Kilmarnock

Thistle return to the Energy Check Stadium at Firhill tomorrow for a huge Ladbrokes Premiership fixture against Kilmarnock which represents the Jags’ final pre-split game of the season. In tomorrow’s match programme co-editor, Christopher Dobie, spoke with Thistle youngster, Andrew McCarthy as he spoke about his rise from a 14-year old joining the youth ranks to a 19-year old constantly impressing in the Partick Thistle first team.

“I’ve been here for quite a while now and it feels good to have made a breakthrough. I joined the Thistle Weir system while it was still very new so it’s been an interesting experience for me. I actually almost quit football during the 15/16 season because I had a pretty bad back injury which stopped me from playing for six months. Thankfully, I was able to overcome that and continue making progress in the development team.”
