Partick Thistle FC are pleased to announce the signing of midfielder Ts’oanelo Lets’osa on a two-year deal, subject to international clearance.
Ts’oanelo was signed in 2020 by Celtic and he went on to feature prominently for the Parkhead club’s B Team in the Lowland League and in the UEFA Youth League.
His performances during his three years at Celtic saw the City Football Group take Ts’oanelo to Belgium when he signed for Lommel, however, he returned to Scotland this summer and featured for The Jags in their recent closed door friendly game against Hamilton Academical.
The 21-year-old has also been training with The Wyre Stadium at Firhill squad since and now puts pen to paper to become the Jags’ latest recruit.
Thistle Head Coach Mark Wilson said: “Ts’oanelo was one who was on our radar and we were pleased to have him in. He caught the eye immediately.”
“He is a mobile number 8 who gets about the pitch quickly and he also has real quality. He is always looking to play forward passes and support the play.”
“Tsoanelo obviously has a wealth of experience coming through the Celtic Academy and then starring for their B Team and getting the chance to play in Europe when he got his move to Lommel.”
Tsoanelo said: “It is a privilege to be a Partick Thistle player. It is a big club, which has amazing fans behind it and also has a family feel to it.”
“My career is a developing one and I am at this club to develop it further. I have experienced different clubs and cultures in my career so far and it will good to experience Partick Thistle now.”
