VACANCY: Sales executive

Partick Thistle Football Club is  recruiting a full time sales executive. The role will report to the CEO and will work independently within a seven strong football administration department.

The role is centred around generating and contributing to the sales of all commercial assets; including matchday hospitality, advertising, sponsorship, conferencing and events across The Energy Check Stadium at Firhill.

To succeed in this role, you will need to be able to generate sales leads within planned and targeted businesses and geographical areas. There are some travel requirements in this role both locally and nationally to meet with prospective partners; therefore, a full driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Proactively generate sales leads and secure business through a programme of activity across all commercial activity within the Football Club
• Manage existing commercial partners and develop proposals to secure their support on an ongoing basis
• Provide weekly reports on sales activity and development against targets
• Compile a monthly management report for CEO and Board of Directors
• Maintain and develop a sales database (and input in to other Club databases)
• Other ad hoc duties as required

The Ideal Person:

• Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
• Experience in B2B sales
• Proven track record of conversion rates
• Confident in approaching potential clients to create new relationships
• Good IT skills including Excel
• Excellent organisational skills and time management
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Team worker but must be able to work independently
• Strong business knowledge of the Glasgow area preferable but not essential

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Competitive salary with on target earnings achievable.
