In true Thistle style, Jags supporters really came out in force to support last week’s winter clothes collection with an incredible response to the Club’s initial appeal.
Over the course of last week and in the run up to the home game against Hibernian, more than 70 bags of clothes were collected which have now been sorted and handed over to The Wayside Club Centre for distribution. We cannot say “thank those” enough to those who have donated.
As the temperature continues to plummet, we’re asking for one last push, with a particular focus on warm winter clothing.
So, between 10am and 4pm on Monday and Tuesday and from 10am until 8pm before our match against Motherwell on Wednesday of next week, we’ll be opening the doors once again for your donations. A spare hat, pair of gloves or woolly jumper could make a big difference to someone’s Christmas this year. So, search your cupboards, check under the bed, rifle through the wardrobe one more time and please give what you can. One item can make a huge difference to a homeless person.
If you have clothes that you would like to donate, you can do so by putting all items (please ensure they are clean and dry) into a large plastic or black bag. As previously, the drop off room will be located at the Jackie Husband Stand (just to the right of the main Jackie Husband Stand reception entrance) and will be open on the following dates and times:
Signage will be in place to assist with directions.
