Partick Thistle FC can today confirm that Wasiri Williams has left the club following the termination of his contract by mutual consent.
The defender joined the club on a two-year deal from Swansea City last summer having spent the first part of 2023 in the League of Ireland with Dundalk and went on to make his Thistle debut in a Premier Sports Cup group stage tie against Peterhead.
He made 21 appearances in total during his debut season as a Jag before his campaign was prematurely ended by an ankle injury in March.
After fully recovering over the summer, Wasiri started our first seven competitive games of the current season and scored his first goal in Thistle colours during a 6-0 win over Edinburgh City at Meadowbank Stadium.
He made his final appearance for the club off the bench as we beat Queen’s Park at home in August.
Everyone at Partick Thistle FC thanks Wasiri for his service to the club and we all wish him the best of luck for the future – he’ll always be warmly welcomed back to the Wyre Stadium at Firhill.
