WHAT THE PUCK? IT’S A WHOLE NEW BALL GAME FOR PARTICK THISTLE AND GLASGOW CLAN AS CITY CLUBS PARTNER

Partick Thistle FC and Glasgow Clan have today announced a new partnership between the clubs which will provide special offers to each set of supporters to experience and enjoy both sports.

The two Glasgow clubs hope to help one another further grow their respective fanbases as well as interest in their sports through joint ticketing promotions, marketing collaborations and other matchday-focussed activities.

To launch the partnership, Glasgow Clan is inviting Jags fans to take advantage of special discounted tickets for their Challenge Cup clash with Dundee Stars at Braehead Arena on Wednesday, 11 December. In return, Thistle will throw down the welcome mat to the Purple Army when Dundee United visit The Energy Check Stadium At Firhill a month later (Saturday, 11 January).

The innovative partnership was signed and sealed by iconic club mascots Kingsley and Clangus earlier today and members of the Partick Thistle Business Club will attend Clan’s Elite League home tie against Nottingham Panthers this Friday night.

Partick Thistle Chief Executive Gerry Britton said: “When we got talking to the team at Glasgow Clan it very quickly became clear that we had commonality in both values and goals. Both clubs have proud identities, strive to appeal to supporters of all ages and backgrounds and have ambitions to work with like-minded partners to help grow in the future.

“So we’re thrilled to now be able to announce this exciting and innovative partnership. I hope some Thistle fans can enjoy watching a completely different sport at Braehead next month, while we are very much looking forward to welcoming Glasgow Clan players, staff and supporters to Maryhill in January.”

Gerry McLaughlin, Glasgow Clan Business Development, said: “It’s been exciting to exchange ideas with the management at Thistle. As a club we pride ourselves on constantly looking for new and exciting ways to get people involved in live sports, so it’s great to team up with like-minded people who want the best for their passionate supporters. Professional sport is at its very best when it’s inclusive, family friendly and fun, and that view is at the heart of this partnership.”
