All at Partick Thistle FC were saddened to learn of the passing of former player Willie Callaghan, aged just 56.
Part of a famous footballing family, Willie served many Scottish clubs in the 80s and 90s including Thistle towards the end of his career, representing the Jags during the early stages of season 1998/99 after signing for Tommy Bryce from his previous club Livingston. He would make 14 competitive appearances in red and yellow, many alongside his cousin Tommy, before he left Firhill and moved on to Glenafton Athletic.
Our thoughts are with Willie’s family and friends at this difficult time.
