Partick Thistle FC is pleased to announce that Zander Mackenzie has signed a three-year contract extension with the club.
The Thistle Weir Youth Academy graduate pens this new deal following a breakthrough season that saw him make 16 appearances in total, debuting in our competitive opener against Stenhousemuir last July.
That debut came only a couple of months after he’d signed with the club as a modern apprentice following a five-year journey with the Academy which began at under 12s level.
Zander becomes the third Jags youth player to sign their first professional deal with the club this summer following in the footsteps of Mason McCready and James Lyon.
Thistle manager Kris Doolan said:
“I’m extremely happy that Zander has committed himself to Partick Thistle for the next three years. He’s a player with immense potential and we’re hoping we can help him realise that potential here at Partick Thistle.
“He’s very much one of our own and I’ve been really impressed by what I’ve seen from him since I’ve come in as manager. Last season was his first taste of football at this level, now with a good pre-season behind him we want him to push on and become a regular feature in the first team.”
Zander’s away standard and away premium player sponsorship packages remain available to purchase – contact for more information.
