The captain of the side, Abdul is entering his fourth season as a Thistle player having moved north from Crewe Alexandra in the summer of 2014. The midfield enforcer is a valuable player for Alan Archibald with his high quality performances in the heart of the Jags midfield.
Abdul was responsible for one of the highlights of last campaign when he buried a last minute winner against St Johnstone sparking wild scenes of jubilation in the travelling support.
Abdul captained his Thistle teammates to open the new league season but after shoulder surgery in September, he was faced with a spell on the sidelines. Osman recovered fully from the problem in around four months and made a return to first team action in Thistle’s friendly win against Shanghai Shenua in Marbella, Spain. Then, on the 20th of January he made a competitive return as he started against Queen of the South at Palmerston Park in the William Hill Scottish Cup, captaining his Jags teammates to a 2-1 win.
Contract Expires: May 2018
