A prolific striker, Andrew fulfilled his life long dream of signing for Partick Thistle when he penned a one year deal in July.
His footballing journey began at primary school, when he was selected as part of the school team at Dunard Street Primary. A number of impressive performances saw him join Summerston Boys Club where he spent a number of years. During his time at Cleveden Secondary School he continued to represent his school in a number of local and national competitions.
Andrew played for Maryhill Juniors BC in his late teens and currently turns out for the Partick Thistle Football Fans in Training side. His ruthlessness in front of goal has never left him, propelling him to top goalscorer in the Jags FFIT team. It has allowed him to fulfil more lifelong ambitions by netting doubles against both Celtic and Rangers – the envy of many Jags fans!
Proud father to Andrew(9) and Kyle(6), Andrew has passed on the Thistle bug to his sons as they accompany him to every Thistle match. His squad number, 96, was chosen in tribute to his Thistle mad sons.
Away from the pitch, Andrew works as a design engineer with Cleanship Solutions, a firm of naval architects, marine and mechanical engineers, based in the iconic South Rotunda building on the south bank of the River Clyde. Cleanship Solutions are a part of the Malin Group, a group of companies that provide end to end solutions for the marine and offshore sector.
