On June the 11th 2018, Partick Thistle made their second signing of the summer as goalkeeper, Cameron Bell signed with the Jags on a two-year deal.
The 31-year old comes to Maryhill off the back of six months as back-up goalie at Easter Road with Hibernian however, he has plenty of experience as a number one. He made his top flight debut in 2009 as a 22-year old with Kilmarnock and established himself as a regular for the Rugby Park side in the second half of the 09/10 season and maintaining that status for the three following seasons. During his time with Killie, he also won a League Cup as Kilmarnock beat Celtic 1-0 in the 2012 final.
Since leaving Kilmarnock, Bell has played with Rangers and Dundee United. During his time with those two clubs, he’s earned an SPFL League One and Championship winners medal, won the Challenge Cup twice and been to two Premiership Play-off finals.
Cameron is a goalkeeper with plenty of experience at Premiership and Championship level and will be looking to become part of a strong Thistle defence in the season to come.
Having missed the opening match of the season at Ochilview with a slight thigh problem, Cammy made his Thistle debut at home as the Jags won 2-1 against Morton in the 2018/19 Betfred Cup group stages.
