Christie Elliott

Christie joined Thistle from English non-league side Whitley Bay in August 2011 and made an immediate impact with a goal against Hamilton just six minutes after coming on as a substitute.

He had only been with Whitley Bay for a few months after having previously played with Jarrow FC in the Wearside league.

Christie finished his first season with Partick Thistle with six goals to his name.

In his second season Christie spend a period on loan at Albion Rovers. On his return to Firhill he scored three times including the remarkable last gasp winner at Airdrie which all but secured the title.

The player added a further three goals to his tally during the 2013/14 season, including a goal against Celtic at Firhill.

Christie proved to be another versatile player for Thistle during the 2014/15 season as he filled in all over the pitch putting in a dependable shift whereever he played. A fractured hand curtailed his appearances towards the end of the season as the side strung together a good set of results to secure an 8th placed finish.

Christie penned a new deal keeping him at the club until the summer of 2017.

A serious injury sustained in Thistle’s final pre-season game of 2015/16 meant Christie was denied the opportunity to participate in the opening spell of the season, with the versatile player only returning to light training at the start of November.
