Christie joined Thistle in the summer of 2011, scoring on his debut against Hamilton Academical. He has continued to improve with each season at the club, making the transition from striker to one of the most versatile players in Alan Archibald’s squad.
Christie has featured in most positions on the park for the Jags with the manager utilising his strengths to help the team through numerous injury and suspension crises. One of the most reliable players in the Jags squad, Christie enjoyed another season of fine form in 2016/17 which was rewarded by the gaffer with a new two year contract, tying him to Firhill until 2019.
Unfortunately for Elliott, after a strong start to the new season, he picked up an injury during Thistle’s 1-1 draw with Hearts which saw him miss a large chunk of the 2017/18 campaign.
Christie made his return from injury in March against Aberdeen in a goalless draw, going on to make 11 post-injury appearances, re-establishing himself as a starting full-back.
Christie was one of the players who stayed at the club through the summer of 2018, becoming Thistle’s new number two after seven years with the club.
Contract Expires: May 2019
