Clare Docherty initially joined Partick Thistle Women’s FC from Kilmarnock in 2019 alongside Kim Murphy and Colette Fleming.
The number eight was a standout during the 2020/21 campaign, earning a nomination for the SWPL 2 Player of the Year award as well as sweeping the annual PTWFC in-house awards.
An injury meant she missed some time at the start of the team’s first SWPL 1 campaign but Clare was quickly back in the team playing her part. She finished the term having made 30 appearances and scored five goals, including a winner away to Hamilton and the opener in our 4-2 Scottish Cup semi-final win over Hibernian.
