Clare Docherty signed for PTW from Kilmarnock Women in 2019 alongside Collette Fleming and Kim Murphy where the three cemented themselves as partners in crime (quite literally with the amount of yellow cards the three gained).
The last one standing following Murphy and Fleming’s retirement, Doc has showed no signs of joining the pair as she prepares for season 5 in Red and Yellow.
A fan favourite and the referee’s best pal, Docherty’s versatility shows no limits, she started in Red and Yellow in a more forward role scoring a number of important goals but is now more often deployed at full back.
Forming one of the league’s strongest full back partnerships with Emma Lawton last season, our number 8 was quickly tied down by Brian Graham as he showed trust once more. Someone who truly plays for the badge week in and week out, we can’t wait to see the peace signs and yellow cards for the 24/25 campaign.
