David became a Partick Thistle player in the summer of 2011 when he joined the club as a Modern Apprentice.
Thriving in his midfield berth, David impressed in the reserve and under 20 sides featuring on the bench of first team fixtures on several occasions, but not making appearance.
1st January 2014 saw David finally break his duck and he appeared in the grandest arena of them all; Celtic Park. He came on with just 10 minutes to play, replacing Aaron Muirhead.
David is highly rated by the management and in the summer of 2014, he signed an extension to his contract at Firhil for a further year. He saw his first team opportunities increase appearing a substitute on several occasions, impressing in a game away to Ross County in March 2015 with his hunger and desire as Thistle strove to get an equalising goal.
David made his first start for Thistle on the final day of the 2014/15 season, a richly deserved appearance for the hard work he had put in throughout the season. He was rewarded with a further one year contract at the conclusion of the season.
