Partick Thistle made their 12th signing of summer 2018 as Jai Quitongo joined the Club on initial six-month contract.
The Wishaw-born attacker came to Maryhill after three years at Greenock Morton during which time he played 51 games, scoring 11 goals.
Still only 20 years of age, Quitongo spent time with Hamilton Accies and Aberdeen as a youth player before moving to Cappielow where he was given his first taste of senior football, debuting in December 2015 against Raith Rovers.
Jai’s father, Jose had a storied professional career which included a very brief spell with Thistle in 2006, however, the Angola international’s son is forging his own path in football, even receiving a Scotland u21 call-up in 2016.
Quitongo made his Thistle debut on the 15th of September 2018 as he came on as a sub during a 3-2 defeat by Inverness CT in the Ladbrokes Championship. The forward replaced Miles Storey in 70th minute of the game at the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium.
He would go on to score his first goal as a Jag in a 2-1 defeat to Dundee United after coming on as a second half substitute.
Contract Expires: January 2019
