Ji came through the Thistle Weir Youth Academy, signing his modern apprenticeship with the first team in July 2022.
He had already made his senior debut the previous season as a late substitute in the SPFL Trust Trophy against Stranraer alongside fellow Academy graduate Ben Stanway.
The versatile youngster had to wait a while for his second first team game which came against Dundee United at Tannadice in the Viaplay Cup with Stevenson playing the final six minutes of a 2-1 win.
Ji would subsequently head out on loan to cinch League 2 side Clyde.
