Signed just after the summer transfer window closed in 2015, Mustapha quickly captured the hearts of the Jags fans with a number of energetic, high quality displays. He scored a crucial goal against Dundee United in October 2015, his first in professional football, and was a valuable player for Alan Archibald during a campaign.
An ankle injury kept him sidelined for a couple of months in early 2016, but he was soon back in the side with his influence helping Thistle over the line to Premiership survival. Mustapha penned a new two year extension during the 2015/16 season but missed the first half of last campaign with an Achilles injury suffered just prior to pre-season. When he returned to the Jags starting line-up, he was quickly back to his best.
Unfortunately for the defender, he picked up another serious injury ahead of the 2017/18 season that has seen him miss six months of action. However, the Sierra Leone international seems to have overcome this injury and returned to the Thistle squad for the Jags’ Scottish Cup clash with Queen of the South.
‘Muzzy’ made his return to the pitch against Celtic as he started in the Jags narrow 2-1 defeat by the Hoops.
Contract Expires: May 2018
