Ben McPherson joined Partick Thistle on loan from Celtic on 4th August 2025.
The right-back arrived in Maryhill with a good amount of Championship experience already in the bank having spent the 2023/24 season on loan with Queen’s Park where he made 25 total appearances and 18 starts.
Capped by Scotland at under 16, 19 and 21 levels, Ben suffered an ACL injury towards the end of his temporary stint with the Spiders in a game against Thistle but fully rehabilitated and was involved in several Celtic first team friendlies over the summer of 2025.
The 21-year-old travelled to Ireland and Portugal with Brendan Rodgers’ senior squad and earned minutes against the likes of Cork City, Sporting CP and Newcastle United before deciding to join the Jags.
Ben’s Thistle debut came as a substitute in a 1-1 draw against Morton on 9th August 2025 and he would earn his first start the following week in the Premier Sports Cup against Ayr United.
Loan Expires: Summer 2026
