Josh Clarke joined Partick Thistle on loan from Celtic on Friday, 25th July 2025.
The London-born goalkeeper spent his youth career in the academies of Chelsea and Bournemouth, staying with the former for over a decade.
He made the step up to senior football when he moved to Northern Ireland to play for Glenavon where he featured in the NIFL Premiership and Europa Conference League qualifiers.
Clarke’s displays for the Lurgan Blues caught the attention of Celtic who signed him in August 2022.
Having featured regularly for the Hoops’ B Team in the Lowland League Josh would go out on loan for the first team in 2023 as he joined Airdrieonians on an emergency basis, playing once for the Diamonds.
He has subsequently had two fuller loan spells with Ayr United where he played 22 times and kept five clean sheets including two shutouts at the Wyre Stadium at Firhill.
Josh debuted for Thistle in a 1-1 draw with Greenock Morton on 9th August 2025.
