Kanayo Megwa signed for Partick Thistle on loan from Hibernian on Monday, 16th September 2024.
The young right-back had spent the previous season on loan with the Jags’ Championship rivals Airdrieonians where he played 30 times in total and featured against Thistle in the Premiership play-off quarter-finals.
He also has previous loan experience with Kelty Hearts where he spent a few months in 2023, featuring nine times in total.
Megwa has been at Hibernian since 2021 and made eight appearances for the Edinburgh side’s first team including three in the Premier Sports Cup prior to heading out on loan to Maryhill.
Kanayo’s Thistle debut came against Dunfermline Athletic as the Jags won 1-0 at the Wyre Stadium at Firhill.
He would play 30 times all-in-all during his loan spell with his most significant contribution being the assist for the goal that secured Thistle’s place in the Play-Offs at Livingston on the final day of the league season.
