On loan from St. Mirren – Oisin Smyth

Oisin Smyth signed for Partick Thistle on a season-long loan from St. Mirren on Monday, 1st September 2025.

From a family of football players, Oisin started his career with Dungannon Swifts in his native Northern Ireland.

He spent 10 years with the Swifts including four seasons as part of the first team before moving on to Oxford United in 2022.

Smyth would go on to play 25 times during his time at the Kassam Stadium with a loan spell at Solihull Moors thrown in for good measure.

The next move for the midfielder took him north of the border to St. Mirren, joining his countryman Stephen Robinson in Paisley.

He scored twice on debut for the Buddies and would find the net two more times in his first season at the SMiSA Stadium, including the opener in a 2-1 home win over Rangers.

Oisin made his Partick Thistle debut as a substitute in a 2-1 win over Airdrieonians at The Wyre Stadium at Firhill and would score his first goal for the club just over a month later as the Jags beat Ross County 1-0 in Maryhill.

Loan Expires: Summer 2026
