Ryan, an Australian under 23 international, joined Thistle in October 2016 having impressed on a week-long trial at the club. The start to his Jags career was disrupted by numerous international call ups which limited his opportunities to improve his fitness at the club. With the side on a good run, Ryan had to bide his time for his first Jags start in late 2015. After the Olyroos failed to qualify for the 2016 summer Olympics, Ryan grew into the first team picture and made a number of impressive appearances, showing Thistle fans a glimpse of exactly what he can do. He’ll be looking to push on to make a starting berth his own over the coming season.
