Shona Cowan made the move to Petershill Park in October 2023, joining from Hearts until the end of the 23/24 campaign on an initial loan deal.
Having made a number of appearances last season for the Jam Tarts during the 22/23 season, Brian Graham was keen to add the defender to the ranks at Thistle praising her ability to play across the backline as well as her reliability alongside this versatility.
Cowan impressed particularly as a left back for the Jags as she racked up her appearances however an injury suffered in training set the defender back several weeks right as she was in some superb form. However, determined to overcome the injury, Cowan made her return as the season finished showing the type of character the young defender posseses.
Following her departure from her parent club, Cowan was announced as one of Brian Graham’s first signings ahead of the 24/25 campaign as she looks to gain some valuable experience and develop even further as a player, this time as a permanent Thistle player.
