Tomi Adeloye signed for Partick Thistle on Thursday, 27th July 2023 on loan from Swindon Town.
The Englishman was already known to fans of Scottish football for the one season he spent with Ayr United, scoring 14 goals in 38 games including 11 league strikes.
Born in South-East London, Tomi spent time in the youth systems at Charlton and Milwall before signing his first professional deal with Stoke City.
The forward would go on to spend a few years turning out in English non-league football eventually finding consistent playing time during stints with Dagenham and Redbridge, Ebbsfleet Town and Barnet.
Signed by Ayr in 2021, his form as an Honest Man earned him a move to EFL League Two side Swindon Town though gametime was limited at The County Ground with just one of his 13 league appearances coming from the start in his first season there.
Tomi made his Thistle debut in a Viaplay Cup group stage game against The Spartans, winning a late penalty which Brian Graham converted to secure a 2-1 win and progression to the last 16.
He got his first goal in Jags colours in a 4-1 away win against Morton, coming off the bench to round off the scoring with fantastic run and finish in front of the travelling support. He followed that up with a goal against his former club Ayr in the team’s next league fixture.
Adeloye was handed his first cinch Championship start for the club against Queen’s Park at Hampden and he got himself on the scoresheet with an important equaliser moments after the Spiders had gone 2-1 up.
