Ticketing Issues Update

Following our last home cinch Championship against Hamilton Accies where a number of supporters experienced lengthy delays while trying to enter Firhill, the Club has held a full internal investigation to ensure a smoother entry process in future.

We can provide an update on the outcomes from that investigation.

ISSUE EXPERIENCED: Entry declined at turnstiles by season ticket card.

There were a number of supporters who used an old season ticket card to try to gain entry using an invalid old season ticket card. All supporters who attempted entry with an old card, have now been issued with a new card which will work from tomorrow’s fixture with Inverness and throughout the rest of the season.

A small number of supporters attempted entry when they hadn’t renewed their season ticket for the 2022/23 season. All supporters who attempted entry without having renewed their card, have been offered the chance to purchase a renewal season ticket.

ISSUE EXPERIENCED: QR code and online sales not available between 2pm and 3pm.

Due to a website issue, QR codes and online sales were not available between 2pm and 3pm. This issue has been investigated and rectified, along with additional training for PTFC staff who will now be able to resolve any future occurrences of this issue in a matter of moments. For tomorrow’s match against Inverness Caledonian Thistle, QR code and online sales will be available until 8:30pm.

ISSUE EXPERIENCED: Sluggish queues to the ticket booth to purchase tickets.

With QR code and online sales unavailable in the sixty minutes before kick-off, more supporters than normal were queuing to purchase tickets from the ticket booth in the lead up to the match. Away supporters, who would normally be purchasing their ticket through QR code and online sales, were also queuing to purchase tickets for the fixture which led to angst amongst supporters in the queue.

With QR code and online sales points restored for this fixture, we anticipate the demand on the ticket booth will reduce for this game. Tickets will be pre-prepared for use in the event of queues starting to grow in order to serve supporters more quickly.

There will be a dedicated ticket booth window for any supporter who encounters any problems with entry. In this event, please go directly to this window and don’t queue in general ticket sales queues.
