TAG

Having listened to feedback from supporters last season, it became clear that a simpler, more attractive multimedia product for Jags fans next season was a must. As part of the club’s ongoing commitment to improve communications with fans, we will shortly unveil a complete website re-design that better reflects where the club is today, underpinned with technology that can support our ambitions going forward.

At the heart of it will be Jagzone, an exciting, affordable and engaging new multimedia package that supporters can access and use with ease. The new package will allow us to integrate the club’s online presence with social media and email marketing much more effectively. More importantly, we believe that the more advanced technology behind it will give fans a better experience all round, making it easier to stay in touch with what’s happening at Firhill.

Jagzone, which has been developed to include a large range of regular video interviews, match highlights, analysis and live audio commentary, is planned to launch in time for the start of the 16/17 season. In the meantime, that content will be available free of charge to all supporters.

As a result, TAG will cease to exist with immediate effect with all subscribers notified and, if appropriate, refunded. First launched in 2013, TAG was conceived at a time when the Club was playing First Division football, with its multimedia package being just one part of a wider remit, including fan involvement, finance and building support. Promotion to the Premiership at the end of the 2012/13 season, and subsequent retention of top flight status, has changed that landscape. Along with a number of advances including being debt-free, the advent of the Football Club Trust, with its objective of improving interaction between the club and our supporters, has been a major step forward. With technological developments on the new website that will significantly increase the range of multimedia content the club can produce, it means that there is no longer a viable role for TAG.

We remain as ambitious for the club off the pitch as we are on it. We will continue to work hard to develop communications between the club and Jags fans across the world. The delivery of the new website together with Jagzone is an important part of that commitment and we hope that supporters enjoy the new service next season.
