Report: If Thistle thought it was going to be easy after hammering the home side a couple of weeks ago, they were given a sharp awakening when they found themselves 2-0 down after just 16 minutes. Goals from Payne and Sellars shocked the Jags who had had most of the early play. It took almost until half time for Thistle to get back in it with first Smith pulling one back on 40 minutes than as the half time whistle was about to go, John Hansen smashed home a second. Shortly after the break, Alex Rae headed home and then with 16 minutes left, a soft penalty gave Jimmy Bone the fourth. With Raith drawing against East Fife, Thistle are were through to the next round with a game to spare.
