Partick Thistle Women’s FC are delighted to announce the signing of Megan Robb from SWF Championship side Dryburgh Athletic ahead of the start of the 2023-2024 season.
A former Scotland youth cap, Megan first came to the attention of Thistle manager Brian Graham while turning out for the Dundee based side last season and was invited to spend time training with Thistle in January only for injury to curtail her involvement at Petershill Park last season.
Thistle though continued to monitor her progress and upon resumption of pre-season training the attacking wide player again joined up with the Thistle squad, and after impressing in a series of pre-season friendlies the Thistle manager was keen to offer a Megan a deal for the season ahead.
Said Thistle manager Brian Graham; “I saw Megan playing for Dryburgh last season and she really impressed me, I was keen to have a closer look at her, unfortunately she got injured soon after but we got her back in during the summer and I saw again what I saw in January.
“She is taking a big step up from the Championship but I think it is a step she can handle.
There are areas of her game we need to work on but I’m excited to see just how good she can be after working with the squad and coaching team”
Megan said: “I’m really happy to be here. As soon as I came in for my first training session, I knew this was the place I wanted to be.
“Brian has been fantastic with me and I feel I can learn so much. The squad have really welcomed me and I’m looking forward to the season ahead”
