Tomorrow’s match programme against Queen of the South

League football returns to Maryhill for the first time in three weeks tomorrow as Queen of the South visit the Energy Check Stadium at FIrhill.

The Doonhamers visit Maryhill on league business for the first time since 2011 and arrive as the highest scorers in the Division. A Jags win, however, would see Thistle leapfrog their opponents in the Ladbrokes Championship table.  Ahead of the clash with the Queens, Programme co-editor, Christopher Dobie spoke to Thistle goalkeeper, Cammy Bell about his first few months as a Partick Thistle player.

“It’s been very enjoyable for me. There have been plenty of ups and downs but I’ve really enjoyed my time here so far. We’ve had a few really good results at home and I’ve had a good feeling playing out on that park but at the same time we’ve been inconsistent away from home and that’s something we want to put right. In my time here, we’ve slowly been building our squad and I definitely feel like it’s beginning to come together.

“There were a number of things that made my mind up to join Thistle. I spoke with a few different managers during the summer but when I spoke to Archie, he really convinced me that this was the right option for me. He talked about the Club’s ambition on and off the pitch; he told me about the training ground and the sort of team he wants to build. The Club feels like it’s going in the right direction and I’ve felt very much at home so far. It was a massive decision for me after last season and I think I’ve made a good choice.”
