This Sunday 15th October, PTWFC take on Celtic in an SWPL1 fixture in a 4:10pm kick off.
Thistle will look to take the positives from last weekend’s huge victory over Hibs into this fixture as we welcome a very strong Celtic side to Petershill Park.

Celtic have started this season out in very strong fashion, sitting top of the table with 27 points. Fran Alonso will be hoping to make it ten in ten as they approach this Glasgow derby.
Some dramatic scenes last season at Petershill saw Celtic win 2-1 in the dying moment with a Caitlin Hayes header, and Brian Graham will be hoping for a change of fortune in this season’s game.
A victory over Hibs last weekend away at Meadowbank was a statement of intent by Thistle. Nobody thought Hibs would be defeated having finished above the Jags in the league last season and gaining victory in the previous meeting.
Hibs looked dangerous throughout the game, with former Jag Abbie Ferguson linking up with Jordan Baucom on numerous occasions and nearly putting the ball in the back of the net. Had it not been for some heroic shot stopping by Megan Cunningham, who earned a place in the Team of the Week as a result, Hibs would’ve taken the lead more than once.
It all came down to that infamous saying by our gaffer: Belief. Another thing that Brian Graham has touched upon for the entire season has been the strength in numbers of the squad this season, and while not everyone can make the starting lineup, he expects the same from each and every player in his team. This proved to be the case with a Lucy Sinclair brace to see off the Hibees and bring all 3 points back to Glasgow with the Jags.
Strong Followings from the Red and Yellow army have helped our girls massively this season. We would love to see as many Jags as possible as we welcome Celtic for this Glasgow derby.
Nearly a full squad available for Brian Graham once more, only Cheryl McCulloch is confirmed to be unavailable with her ongoing ACL injury while Emma Lawton faces a late fitness test having been forced off against Hibs.
Some solid sessions in training and an overall positive atmosphere within the dressing room has the squad in good spirits as they prepare to face the league leaders on Sunday.
