This Sunday 5th February, PTWFC “travel” to Petershill Park to take on Glasgow City with a 13:00 kick off.
Thistle come off the back of a 4-0 defeat against Hibs in a tough defeat in the SWPL1. Brian Graham’s women suffered a difficult defeat to Edinburgh’s green and white struggling to bounce back after another loss the week prior at the hands of Celtic.
A result here for Brian Graham’s side would be huge with Glasgow City, widely regarded as one of the best in Scotland currently sitting top of the table.. This begins a run of 3 in a week for Thistle so The Jags hope to begin with a bang.

🗣️Highlights and reaction post match
Glasgow City have had a great season thus far, picking up 44 points from a possible 48 in SWPL1.
Sitting in 1st position, 5 places and 25 points ahead of the jags, they’ll be looking to grab all 3 points and further the gap between themselves and Celtic, who are just 3 points behind them.
There are a few club links between the squads this season, with the likes of Jordan McLintock and Taylor Fisher having played for Glasgow City. The last outing between the two sides saw Glasgow City walk away with all 3 points in a 4-1 affair.
A difficult last couple weeks have seen Thistle suffer heavy defeats. Whilst this has been less than ideal, manager Brian Graham has been passing on his words of wisdom and encouragement to boost the girls and get them back to form.
Through the highs and lows, the squad is a really close group and are hoping to bring the results back to the club. Fans favourites like skipper Demi Falconer, midfield maestro Cara Henderson, and defender Cheryl McCulloch are all hoping to deliver a performance to the fans having had such great support all season.
Strong followings from the Red and Yellow Army so far this season have helped our girls more than could be expressed, and hopefully more of the Thistle faithful come along to support their Jags at Petershill once more as we hope to bring the fight to a strong Glasgow City side.
Nearly a full squad again for Brian Graham leading into Sunday. Kaitlyn Canavan departed the squad midweek therefore reducing the numbers available to the manager but a bit of positivity can be found with Freya McDonald making her comeback from injury against Hibs last week. This gives our manager more options to play with as he looks to capitalise on our squad depth for what will be a tough run of fixtures so close toghether. He’ll look to utilise all options as we hope to earn a good result this Sunday.
