Spartans have had a decent season so far gaining 8 points and sitting in 9th place, 4 points and 3 places below PTW.
Having recently gained a victory at Petershill Park over the Jags just a couple of weeks ago, manager Debbi McCulloch will be hoping they will be able to repeat this feat as the fixture switches over to cup action.
It was a day to forget in the capital as Hearts cruised to victory over a demoralised Jags side at Oriam two weeks ago. The attacking prowess of Eva Olid’s side, including a hat trick from Georgia Timms, proved to be too much for Brian Graham’s side with everyone quickly wanting to move past this game and onto the next.
There were some positives from this game, however. Rachel Wright made her first start for the Jags after signing in the summer and performed well while the real spotlight was on Rachel Donaldson who scored her first goal of the season having been injured for the most part.
Strong Followings from the Red and Yellow army have really helped our girls and we hope to see as many of you at Peasy for some cup action this Sunday.
For the first time this season, Brian Graham has a full squad available for selection for this upcoming fixture with only the long term absentee of Cheryl McCulloch missing.
Rachel Donaldson came on as a sub in the last two matches and will again be included in the squad for this one.
Several Jags have been on International duty in the form of Emma Lawton, Ava Eadson and Jenna Ferguson so will be looking to jump back into club action.
It will be up to the management team to select the strongest squad as we look to exact revenge on Spartans and progress through to the next stage of the Sky Sports Cup.
