Abdul Osman was disappointed not to take all three points against Ross County but was determined that things would go the right way against Dundee on Wednesday night.

Thistle took the lead but a late goal saw the home side only draw the match against County and Abdul certainly felt it should have been more.

“It’s another disappointing game. Again we totally dominated but we’ve come up short and failed to take all three points. It’s another draw but it feels like a defeat.

“It’s hard to take, we aren’t happy, the manager isn’t happy and the boys aren’t happy. We are determined to get the wins, we will come back in on Monday and prepare and work hard ahead of the match against Dundee on Wednesday. ”

Thistle lined up in a 3-5-2 and it was a formation that suited Thistle throughout. There were a number of positives to take from the game and Osman knows the side has to take them into the match against Dundee.

“We changed shape and it suited us. I thought we performed very well but we conceded late on and we have to stop that. We will get back onto the training pitch and work, work, work.

“We go into the match against Dundee knowing we can put in a performance to win the game. It’s another game we feel we can win and we have a lot of positives to take from the match against Ross County. Although we are down now we won’t let it get to us. We will pick ourselves up and go into Wednesday confident.”

The players know a win will lift us further away from the foot of the table and put day light between ourselves and Dundee. The Thistle captain admits it’s a good incentive to have.

“A win will move us up the table, a win will let us forget about the match against Ross County, it’s an important match and one we look forward to.

“We have the players and we know we can do it. We just have to make it click and I’m sure we will. Once we do that you will see us flying and the boys are all confident we can make that happen. It starts against Dundee on a Wednesday.”
