Due to a change in personal circumstances, Chris Ross has announced that he will step down from his role as CEO of Partick Thistle at the end of the current season. He has also confirmed his intention to remain in post until a successor is found.
Chris who led the club throughout the 2023/24 season said: “I’m really proud to have had the opportunity to lead the club throughout the 23/24 season and to have worked with the board, staff, volunteers and all who contribute so much to Partick Thistle. I will continue to support the Jags and help in any way I can, but feel the end of the season is the right time and let someone else lead the 24/25 campaign working closely with everyone at the Club.”
Richard Beastall, club director said on behalf of the board: “We would like to thank Chris for all his hard-work and commitment to our club this season. We are particularly grateful for the work he has done strengthening the links to our fan base and for the significant improvements that have been made to the Wyre Stadium at Firhill. We understand his desire to spend more time with his young family and wish him every success for the future.
The board plans to strengthen the club’s administrative and commercial capacity so will be advertising other new roles as well as the CEO vacancy soon. We have ambitious plans to drive the club forward both on and off the field, and so particularly welcome applications from those who not only have the skills needed but share our passion for Partick Thistle.”
Details of the new roles and how to apply for them will be shared shortly.
