Signing a defender is like waiting for a bus, you wait all summer for one and two come along at once!
Earlier this afternoon, we announced the signing of David Syme from Kilmarnock on a one year deal, we are pleased to unveil another defender joining the club.
Daniel Devine joins the club on a two year contract, following the expiry of his contract with Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
The 23 year old Northern Irish central defender played youth football with Lisburn Distillery and Linfield before being snapped up by Preston North End. He made his debut for the English side in April 2011 against Ipswich Town. During his time at Preston he made two appearances for the Northern Ireland under 21 side.
In the summer of 2012, Daniel moved to Fleetwood Town, moving on loan to Wrexham during the course of the 2012/13 season. After a year at Fleetwood, and without making a single appearance for the side, he signed for Inverness Caledonian Thistle. Daniel played the full 90 minutes as Inverness won the Scottish Cup last season with a 2-1 victory over Falkirk.
Last season Daniel was a regular in the Inverness side making 37 league appearances for the club during the course of the campaign.
All at Firhill look forward to seeing Daniel in action at Firhill over the next two seasons.
