The club would like to thank local firm SWGR who came to the stadium at short notice yesterday to clean away the graffiti and vandalism.
SWGR was one of a number of companies to quickly offer their support to the club yesterday morning and we pass on our sincere thanks to them all.
The front of the Colin Weir Stand has been returned to its normal condition ahead of our first competitive home game of the season against Queen’s Park in the Betfred Cup tomorrow.
Gerry Britton, Partick Thistle CEO, said: “What a difference it was arriving at the stadium this morning – a huge thanks to the team at SWGR who were with us within minutes early on Thursday to help. Three other companies were very quick to offer their assistance, which shows the affection the local business community have for the club – we are very grateful indeed.”
SWGR, an infrastructure support service business based in Springburn, has been supporting the club throughout the summer with its decontamination service deep cleaning key areas inside Firhill.
Terry Flynn, chief executive of SWGR, said: “We were only too happy to help and wish the team all the best when they restart competitive action at Firhill tomorrow.”
