The Board of Partick Thistle is pleased to announce that they have appointed Gavin Taylor as a Director with immediate effect. Mr Taylor was nominated by The Jags Foundation (TJF) as the first step in the knowledge sharing programme that underpins the transition towards fan ownership.
Welcoming Mr Taylor, who is chairman of TJF, Thistle Chairman Jacqui Low said:
“We are delighted to have Gavin join the Thistle Board, his experience and strong skills are a very welcome addition. Most importantly, we have delivered the first step in the knowledge share programme (announced recently with TJF) with this appointment. I wish Gavin well as a director and look forward to working closely with him.”
Gavin Taylor added:
“I was pleased to be nominated by The Jags Foundation for this role and even more proud to have the Board accept me as a Director. My family has a long connection to the Club and I am honoured to carry on the tradition of service to the Club.
“As The Jags Foundation progresses toward securing the majority shareholding, I pledge I will do all I can to bring the two entities together in my new role.”
As a result, the original AGM has been postponed from 24th November to 2nd December to allow the addition of a new Resolution to be included in the Notice relating to today’s announcement.
